Flora loves making the most of creative opportunities. Specializing in communication design, advertising, art direction and telling stories with images, she has a passion for visual problem-solving. She is a professionally certified member of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada. She has a degree in Communication Design from Emily Carr University and is based in Vancouver BC.  Her diverse experience with advertising, print design, technical and commercial publication design, event and corporate photography, exhibit design, packaging and identity design enables her to approach projects from multiple angles. Flora’s photographs have appeared in print and television media. Her sensitivity to typography, imagery and colour helps her create designs that are resonant.

Flora’s extensive experience working with businesses and groups connected with older adults has become increasingly relevant. She also designs for non-profits and other health related organizations and clients in engineering and mining. Her favorite parts of the design process are learning about a client’s needs and sharing solutions that will help their business or organization stand out. She has been obsessed with advertising since childhood, when her father would save clever ads for her.

She contributes to her community as a long-time volunteer graphic designer and photographer for local charities including The Alzheimer Society of BC and the AREA Fund.
